The May Dinner is the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation’s annual black-tie gala that celebrates the life and legacy of President Kennedy and raises critical funds to support the Kennedy Library. This year's gala is chaired by Jeff Immelt, Chairman and CEO of GE.

The Centennial May Dinner will be held on Sunday, May 7, 2017 and former President Barack H. Obama will attend and accept the Centennial John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award from Ambassador Caroline Kennedy and her family.

The dinner provides crucial unrestricted financial support to the JFK Library’s programming, which serves hundreds of thousands of adults and children annually. Through free educational experiences, the Kennedy Library Forums series, the JFK Library's digital archives, and arts and cultural programming, the Kennedy Library perpetuates President Kennedy's legacy to new and growing audiences each year.

This year's gala is currently sold out, but the ceremony, beginning with a special performance by James Taylor, will be streamed live on our website
